At CIMA (Atlantic Center for Environmental Research, S.L.), we want to show you what we do—both in our offices and beyond.

On this page, you’ll find a series of short videos called "Things We Do at CIMA", which will help explain what we do and how we do it. All to bring you closer to the world of Marine Biology and Oceanography.

«Things We Do at CIMA» #13: Outreach:

One of the newest activities we carry out at CIMA is outreach. We believe it is very important for our work, as well as the conclusions we reach in our research, to reach as many people as possible.

To achieve this, we use this website where we write about our services, the projects we undertake, and those carried out by other scientists in the environmental and marine fields.

As you can see, we also have this specific video outreach project: “Things We Do at CIMA”, the results of which we have presented at various scientific communication conferences:

– Ciencia en Redes (2018), a scientific communication event on social networks organized by the Spanish Association of Scientific Communication and “La Caixa” Foundation. .

– SciComPT Network Congress | 2018 (Science and Technology Communication Network of Portugal) , whose central theme was «Ciência: Aberta à Sociedade. Participação e Inclusão em Comunicação de Ciência».

VII Congress on Social Communication of Science, organized in 2019 by the Spanish Association of Scientific Communication and the University of Burgos.

With this project, which just turned one year old, we aim to show you what a company like ours does in both marine environmental audits and marine biology, oceanography, etc. As we often say at these conferences, “selling science” is not easy, and we must strive to offer interesting, truthful, and high-quality content. Knowing there is always room for improvement, we are very pleased with this first year of “Things We Do at CIMA”.

Of course, all these videos are on our website and shared through our accounts on FacebookTwitterInstagram and Youtube (where all the videos are hosted) to reach as many people as possible.

Will you help us spread the word? Check out the project page!
