This is the Transparency Portal of the Atlantic Center for Environmental Research, S.L. (hereinafter CIMA). Here, you can access information related to the transparency obligations established in Law 19/2013, of December 9, on Transparency, Access to Public Information, and Good Governance, and Law 12/2014, of December 26, on Transparency and Access to Public Information. For the structure of the Portal, the compliance map established by the Commissioner for Transparency and Access to Public Information of the Canary Islands has been adopted. This body is responsible for evaluating the transparency of public entities in the Canary Islands through annual reports since 2015, with a broad representation of the private sector included since 2019.

CIMA is accredited by ENAC according to the criteria of standard UNE-EN ISO/IEC 17025, for Testing activities that include sampling in hard substrates and marine sediments as well as the identification of organisms (meiofauna and macrofauna) and the application of the M-AMBI ecological quality index, organic matter, and grain size analysis. It is also accredited under the same Standard for the "in situ" testing of Redox Potential in marine sediments and sampling of biota (fish and mollusks) for subsequent analysis of Priority and Preferential Substances.

Technical Annex

CIMA is accredited by ENAC in accordance with the international standard UNE-EN ISO/IEC 17020, for Inspection in the Environmental Area of Wastewater Treatment and Discharge Installations, in Wastewater, Marine Waters, and Visual Inspection of Discharge Conduits to Public Hydraulic Domain, Public Maritime Domain, or to the sewerage system.

The ENAC-accredited evaluation services are backed by the accreditation bodies of more than 100 countries and the official recognition of the EU. They demonstrate the availability of competent personnel, necessary equipment and materials that are properly calibrated and adequately maintained; the methods and procedures are executed with the required expertise according to best technical practices, and the activity is subject to strict quality control.
