In recent years various studies and technical projects related to spills from the maritime-terrestrial public domain were carried out in CIMA for private and public entities.
These technical projects included hydrodynamic modeling, studies of local currents, physical-chemical analyzes of marine water and sediments, oceanographic profiles, estimation of biotic indices for evaluation of quality of the environment, etc.
The purpose was to assess the possible impact of sewage discharge through drainage pipes and underwater outfalls from desalination stations, sewage treatment plants, industrial facilities, etc. Additionally, Programs of Sewage Monitoring and Control were carried out, according to the conditions of established corresponding authorizations.
Among the projects developed are:
– Environmental impact of an increase in brine discharge from the desalination plant of Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
– Program for monitoring and control of urban wastewater dumping into the sea through the underwater drainage system in Caletillas (Candelaria).
– Program for monitoring and control of urban wastewater dumping into the sea through the submarine drainage pipeline in Punta Larga (Candelaria).
– Program for monitoring and control of urban wastewater dumping into the sea through the submarine drainage pipeline in San Blas (Candelaria).
– Campaign for collection and analysis of samples obtained in the companies of Güímar municipality for elaboration of discharge census of Industrial Estate of Güímar Valley.
– Program for monitoring and control of discharge to the sea through the drainage pipeline of the desalination plant of Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
– Environmental documentation for structural modification of the drainage system of Acorán (Tenerife).
– Investigation of impact of the drainage pipeline discharge of Igueste de San Andrés.
– Environmental documentation of wastewater discharges from Añaza and Acorán pipes (Tenerife).
– Environmental documentation for the project of correction of aspects required for Technical Document of Legalization of Drainage Conduction in Igueste de San Andrés (T.M. of Santa Cruz de Tenerife).
– Program for monitoring and control of urban wastewater discharges into the sea through the submarine drainage system of San Andrés (Tenerife).
– Investigation of environmental viability of the project Discharge for drainage system and emergency spillway of the EBAR of San Andrés.
– Program for monitoring and control of urban wastewater discharge into the sea through the submarine outfall of Sueño Azul (Adeje).
– Investigation of oceanographic parameters for the discharge pipeline project at Sanapú Pier, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria Port.
– Program of monitoring and control of urban wastewater dumping into the sea through the San Marcos submarine outfall (Icod de los Vinos).
– Census of land-sea discharges from the Granadilla municipality (Tenerife).
